Specific Gravity Separator is designed for the separation of any kind of kernel and granular product of almost identical size but with different weights.
The gravity separator is utilised when the limits of Air-aspiration systems and screening are reached. The gravity separator is an additional piece of equipment for separating more accurately according to specific weight of the granular material. The seed is fed over the wire mesh deck either by gravity or by vibro feeder (Optional) from the surge hopper for uniform feeding. The seed over the deck is stratified with the help of blowers under the machine and oscillation motion of the deck. The seed with high bulk density stays on the deck where as the light one moves up side. The oscillation and rough surface of the deck move the heavy lot up side, where as, the light one moves down ward. The separation can be adjusted with the help of air control, length wise, width wise, inclination and oscillation speed of the deck.
